Ala Modalaindi is set a sort of record. The film’s Tamil rights were sold off for more than Half a Crore Rupees. Produced by Damodara Prasad, the film (made with a shoestring budget) is turning out to be good hit and raking in huge profits for its investors. Youth and family audiences have connected with the simple story of current day girl and boy who fail to express their love each other. The film starred Nani and Nitya Menon as the lead pair and is directed by debutant Nandini Reddy.
A leading Tamil producer is said to have bought the rights of the movie.
