Poonam Pandey strips before media!

Poonam Pandey made headline news with her statement that she would strip and walk nude if India lifted the world cup in Mumbai. She however did not keep her word and put the blame on the officials for not giving her permission to strip.

Poona has now made up for this, at least partly. She did a semi-strip before the media. She unzipped her jacket and gave a glimpse of her black bra. She said that this was just a ‘preview’!

Nudity idea worked for Sexy Model!!!

World Cup 2011 helped sexy model Poonam Pandey to become a household name. The call of fun to strip naked if India wins the World Cup made the 20 year old to face legal threats and moral policing calls. One may think why she didn't get down to her word and stripped the dress in stadium to enjoy the public response? "I was an Indian girl and not allowed to do such things. I did many things like rolling a sensational photo shoot and uploaded the pics in Facebook fan page. I was not at all satisfied. Then I came up with this nudity idea and it worked satisfying me," Poonam said during an interview with a giggling face. Anyway it is a good experience as the bold girl won few movie offers and item numbers which she don't want to disclose at the moment. Yet the girl is looking for right time and all of the sudden you might find Poonam's nudity hitting the headlines one fine day.

At Last Poonam Pandey Strips

As promised the most-wanted model hasn’t gone bare yet, but she had given a glimpse of her stripping streak at a recent event. And for all those who are disappointed with her 'no-show' after Team India won the World Cup, this could make them partially happy.

The bigtime wannabe became an overnight star after she offered to go nude before Team India if they won the Cricket World Cup. However, the actress who is yet to fulfill her commitment gave a glimpse of her stripping streak recently.

The entire publicity stunt won her an entry into the latest season of stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi hosted by Akshay Kumar. At a recent event, when Poonam Pandey was introduced as the contestant on the show and media bombarded her with questions regarding her no-show after India's victory, she gave a trailer of her yet-to-release picture. She unzipped her jacket to reveal a black bikini top much to the surprise of the shutterbugs who went gaga clicking her. And Miss Pandey seemed to be enjoying all the attention.

If rumours are to be believed Poonam Pandey is being paid a whopping Rs 50 lakhs to be on the show. Also we won't be surprised if she bags another popular reality show Bigg Boss, which is also played on the same channel. Personalities like Poonam Pandey are perfect fodder for the Bigg Boss house!

Nude Message Lady @ Rs 10 Lakhs Per Day

It is not often that one gets to see a hot babe announcing to go nude and that too in the Indian circuit. However, the sexy model Poonam Pandey did the impossible by boldly announcing about stripping for the Indian team if they lift the world cup. While enough objections were raised and even life threats were given to Poonam, she also got few benefits out of it.

Poonam has become a national celebrity and though the Bollywood circuit found it normal, the south Indian cine circuit is keen on welcoming her. It is heard that few big banner producers have begun to get in touch with Poonam as they wanted her to perform steamy item song in their movies.

However, buzz is that Poonam is offering her daily call sheet at Rs 10 lakhs per day looking at the barrage of calls she is receiving from the south. While some say it is worth shelling so much given the craze she generated, only time will tell which producer will come forward to afford this expensive bombshell.

I feared for my life: Poonam Pandey

Kingfisher Model Poonam Pandey, who promised to strip for Team India if India wins the World Cup 2011, says it was not a publicity stunt. "I don't think it is a publicity stunt. If doing anything for Team India or for the nation is considered negative then what should I say?," says Poonam. However, The letter that Poonam had written to BCCI seeking permission to strip was rejected by the authorities. "I felt bad and was hurt when they did not allow me to go bare," says the model, on reacting to BCCI decision. The aspiring actress says there is nothing wrong in going bare. "I did not think that going bare will turn out to be such a big thing and become such a issue. It may be a big question in a country like India. But internationally several models have done this kind of act, so why are people in India are taking it as a big thing?," she says. "If a man removes his T-shirt and walks on road no one will say anything but if a girl does something similar or even says something similar the outcome is not good, which you can see in my case," she adds. Poonam says her family was shocked with the decision to strip. "My family was upset. They were shocked," she said. The Kingfisher model also got many threat calls after her announcement to strip. "I feared for my life. I had to hide as I received many calls threatening me of dire consequences if I bared all. But some people called to say that they are proud of me," said the beauty. Meanwhile, she was flooded with many offers after her bold proposal. "I have been getting offers from magazines and calendars to pose in the buff, and also been approached by reality TV show makers," she said.

Poonam's letter to BCCI seeking permission to strip

The Board of Governors/ Manager The BCCI Dear Sir, I write to you as a great fan of Cricket and above all a patriotic Indian. I want India to win the Cricket World Cup 2011 and am willing to go the extra mile to do anything so that India wins the World Cup. I am a model and actress and have decided to do what I can for India !! I have already expressed my desire to further motivate the Indian Cricket team to perform better and lift the World Cup. I am ready and willing at any place and time of the Indian teams choosing to go in the nude to boost their sporting spirit to perform better. This I say seriously, as there are many studies conducted by various Universities abroad which confirms and infers that such performances/expectations boost and inspire people to perform better in any field, be it sports or otherwise. Even medical books on psychology and psychiatry confirms this. You will appreciate that India has been longing for a World Cup ever since. Cricket today is a religion in India. Should India lose the World Cup it would demoralize  hundreds of crores of Indians and people may react violently in some places too. It is therefore my humble request to you to allow me to perform  in the privacy of the  Indian Cricket teams Dressing room or any other place of your choosing. (YOU MAY ALSO CHOOSE A FOREIGN LAND  LIKE  PARIS IN FRANCE, SO THAT THE LAWS OF INDIA - IF A HINDRANCE, SHALL NOT APPLY) This shall be a private therapeutic performance - with a psychologist's presence and hence cannot be an offence under any law for the time being in force if the team members have no objection and the BCCI gives the go ahead. Only appearing in the nude in Public is an offence but in private with consenting adults for a purpose  therapeutic  is no offence. Even a contract for the same can be drawn up and should not be in violation of the Indian Contract Act as it is not opposed to public policy or morality. Besides the BCCI is not a Government body  and can enter in to such a contract. Should such a contract be needed to be drawn you can approach my lawyer,  Advocate  Prashant Uchil on             022-32639020       to discuss modalities and the same shall be signed by me without any hesitation to protect the institution (BCCI) and indemnify it. Looking forward to your assistance to make Team India win the World Cup 2011 !! Warm Regards, Poonam Pandey.

Where is Poonam Pandey?

Now that India has won the ICC World Cup 2011, netizens are keen to know where is model Poonam Pandey and if she would actually run naked as promised. The Kingfisher model earlier said this would be her way of expressing support to Team India. The ace model did state that she will go and strip in front of team India in their dressing room after they lift the World cup."I am a New Generaion Girl!!! Any thing for my Country to get Home the World Cup So INDIA Cheer with me That we need 1983 BACK...," tweeted Poonam. However, Poonam Pandey switched off her cellphone on Saturday when India won the World Cup. Sources say the 20-year-old model was being inundated with calls from people either begging her to strip for them or threatening her with dire consequences should she dare go against Indian culture. On Friday, Pandey issued a letter to the BCCI about her plans: "I write to you as a great fan of cricket and above all a patriotic Indian. I want India to win the Cricket World Cup 2011, and I am willing to go the extra mileage. Going nude in private with consenting adults for a therapeutic purpose" is not an offence, and said that a contract for the same could be drawn up as the BCCI is not a government body. She suggested that the BCCI choose another country such as Paris for her striptease to avoid controversy. "I am serious about it as many studies conducted by various universities abroad confirm such performances boost and inspire people to perform better in any field, be it sports or otherwise,'' adds Poonam. Complying with a court order, an FIR was lodged against model Poonam Pandey, who had reportedly said she would bare all if India win the World Cup cricket final, on the charge of obscenity. The FIR was registered against the model at Balrampur Dehat police station after Chief Judicial Magistrate Subhash Chandra issued an order to this effect, taking suo motu cognizance of media reports about her announcement, police sources said.
