Rana Daggubati, the hot sensation of Bollywood with the film 'Dum Maro Dum', also bagged the lead role in RGV's 'Department'. He is well known with his gossips and alleged link ups with heroines right from Priya Anand, Ileana, Shriya and Bipasha Basu. He is just 2 movie old but enjoyed huge attention on par with any leading Bollywood hero all these years.

He is replacing Nagarjuna as a media-playboy and we have to see if he maintains long term relation with any heroine like Nag carrying with Tabu and Anushka.

Gaganam bags awards at Norway festival

Nagarjuna starrer bi-lingual film ‘Gaganam’ has won international acclaim now. In the film festival held in Oslo the capital city of Norway, ‘Gaganam’ won the ‘Best director award’ and ‘People’s Choice award’.

The film released both in Telugu and Tamil. The Tamil version of the film ‘Payanam’ was sent to the film festival. Dil Raju produced the flick in Telugu while actor Prakash Raj produced it in Tamil. This hijack action drama with no songs and duets where Nagarjuna plays a NSG Commando did good business at box office.

Poonam Kaur acted as air hostess in this movie which was directed by Radha Mohan.

Prithvi, Bharath Reddy and Bramhanandam too were seen in the film.Nagarjuna’s voice was dubbed in Tamil.

Anushka Not Happy With Nag??

Having got the special place in Nagarjuna’s heart after Amala and Tabu, it is heard that she is not happy with her relationship. News is that Anushka is unable to digest the incident of Income Tax raids on her due to friendship with Nag. Buzz is that after the raids, Anushka has been distancing herself from Nag.

Post IT raids, Anushka is staying in Bangalore. News is that Nag personally visited Bangalore one or two times and tried to explain as to why she should become like this for such a small incident. However, it is heard that Anushka is unable to become normal. More than the financial loss, it is heard that Anushka is hurt with the way the IT officials behaved with her. ‘Sweety’ is unable to digest the bitter truth that being Nag’s friend is the only cause for the IT raids.

However, Annapurna studios sources are estimating that Anushka is due to take off to a foreign location with Nag for the shooting of a song. This is for the film ‘Damarukam’ and the schedule is for a week to ten days. They are hopeful that she would be able to let go off this incident and things will settle once she reaches homeland.

Now the latest news is that the unit members are flying to Switzerland for the first schedule of the film for canning a song between Anushka and Nag.

Interesting news is that Anushka is going to wear bikini in this song. Devi Sri Prasad already composed the music. Raju Sundaram is going to choreograph this hot song. Srinivas Reddy is directing this socio fantasy film.  Venkat is producing this film under RR Movie Makers banner at the woofing price 35 crores.

Nag's 'English Title' Comedy!!!

'English Titles' have become the part of Telugu Industry now, with ace directors like Puri and Sekhar Kammula opting for them. Though, 'Telugu Adhikara Basha Sangam' kinds of people are strictly objecting this trend, directors are not at all showing interest to quit. However, hero Nagarjuna's strong comments on the same issue are making laughs in Tinsel town. Nag is said to be very angry with director Sukumar for choosing the title '100% Love' for his son Naga Chaitanya's upcoming flick. This anger's result is said to be the disappearance of Naga Chaitanya at the audio function. Few sources stated that Nagarjuna is also angry with the movie's team for not approaching him in finalizing the title. What looks like a big joke is that Nagarjuna's recent flicks that made him reach places are named in English only. 'Mass' and 'King' are the two movies that positioned Nag in new heights. Making hulchul on 'English Titles', especially by Nag like big-league heroes is real 'comedy'.

Nag To Produce Allu Arjun's Movie

Big stars, big banners, big star families have a typical tradition of sorts in the film industry. While rivalries are always there, it is business at the end of the day and if there is star value and market guarantee then associations and tie-ups happen in no time burying all the hatchets and competitions.

The reason for this topic is the following incident. Apparently, Allu Aravind is currently arriving with his new movie ‘100% Love’ which has Naga Chaitanya in the lead. Now, it is heard that Nagarjuna has decided to reciprocate this. Well, buzz is that Nag would be making a new movie with Allu Arjun as the hero.

Currently, the project is said to be in planning stages and it will be made under the Annapurna banner. Inside talk is that if Nag will not produce then it will be Akkineni Venkat who will do the needful. The groundwork for the project is said to be in line and a formal announcement is expected to be made once everything is ready.

Exclusive: Balayya and Nag combo?

Nandamuri's and Akkineni’s are pillars of the Telugu cinema industry. Both NT Ramarao and Akkineni Nageswara Rao had started their careers at the same time and they went on to rule the Telugu Cinema for decades. Although they competed with each other, they both shared many hits together - Missamma, Gundamma Katha, Ramakrishnulu, etc. Despite many attempts, their sons Balakrishna and Nagarjuna could not act together. Finally this dream combination of Balakrishna and Nagarjuna is materializing.

Producer Bellamkonda Suresh reportedly convinced both Balayya and Nagarjuna to come together in the remake of Malayalam super hit - Christian Brothers. The original movie had Mohan Lal, Suresh Gopi, Dileep and Sharath Kumar. Bellamkonda approached Balayya with this film and he said to have agreed to do the movie if Nagarjuna agrees. Nag is also positive about this proposal too.
We have to wait and see if this really goes to the sets.

Ragada releasing as 'Vambu' in Tamil

King Nagarjuna, Anushka Shetty and Priyamani starrer 'Ragada' is releasing as 'Vambhu' in Tamil. Even Prince Mahesh Babu's 'Khaleja' will hit the screens in Tamil as 'Bhadra'. The audio of both these films was launched  on the same dias at T-Nagar in Chennai on Monday.

Prasad Rao and A Venkat Rao are presenting 'Ragada' dub 'Vambu' in Tamil on their Bhadrakali films banner while 'Khaleja' dubbed as 'Bhadra' is being released by Prabhu on Guru Bramha arts banner. 'Bhadra' will release in Tamil at the end of this month while Vambu will hit the screens in May first week.

Anand Reddy launched the Tamil audio cd of 'Vambu'(Ragada) while Raghunathan released CDs of 'Bhadra'(Khaleja) and gave it to the guests at the audio launch.

Prasada Rao from Bhadrakali films hoped that the movies will do well in Tamil too.This banner is planning to re-release Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Basha' in theatres again.

Nag- Mahesh Joint Attack On Tamil Nadu!!

It is a common tradition to see remakes and dubbed versions making rounds between Tollywood and Kollywood. However, the recent past has seen a new trend in Tollywood wherein the top league stars are making special efforts to make their presence felt in the state of Tamil Nadu. This was not the practice earlier though Tollywood used to get films from Rajinikanth, Vikram, Vijay etc.

Right now, it is the turn of Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu. It appears that both are going on a joint attack to steal the box office collections at Kollywood. Sources say Nag’s ‘Ragada’ has been dubbed into ‘Vambu’ and will be released in Tamil. On the other hand, ‘Khaleja’ starring Mahesh has been named as ‘Bhatra’ and will be releasing around the same time. This is being taken there by producer Bhadrakali Prasad Rao and buzz is that he would be releasing them in Malayalam as well.

The music for ‘Vambu’ is by Thaman while ‘Bhatra’s tunes were scored by Mani Sharma. Recently, the audio release for both films took place in Chennai and Prasad Rao is positive that the songs will strike a chord with the Tamil audience. With the glamour of Anushka in both the films and the presence of Priyamani and Charmee (with special song) in ‘Vambu’, the hype is high.

As such, both flicks failed to impress the Telugu audience so let us hope they manage to relieve themselves by scoring points with the Tamil audience.

It needs no special information about Nagarjuna and his role as an entrepreneur in real life. Just like his film career, he has been quite successful in his business ventures as well. Now, it is heard that he is all set to enter into another domain which will spread the education on cinema and acting.

Talk is that Nag is all set to start a film school and this would be set up in his own Annapoorna Studios. Just like how Suresh Babu has done in Ramanaidu film studios, Nag is looking to set up something but then it is heard that he is planning few steps extra in this one.

Buzz is that Nag is focusing on coming up with the latest infrastructure for the school along with very experienced staff. The objective is to come up with a more competitive set up and beat Suresh Babu. Above all, Nag is reportedly focusing on cost effective tuition fees and more quality so that more aspirants can join in. Get set for this folks!!!

Massive fire broke out at Nag's Rajanna sets

A massive fire broke out on the sets of Nagarjuna's film 'Rajanna' on Tuesday. The fire has burnt specially erected sets of a village and a bungalow at Jubillee Hills. Luckily there were no reports of casualties, as the shooting of the film has been halted recently. Reports say that the incident happened because of an electrical spark, which damaged equipment and sets worth Rs. 50 lakhs on Tuesday evening. It is said that the fire spread in no time, as the sets was erected of plaster of Paris. According to the sources, Major part of the films shooting at the sets has been completed but some key scenes are yet to be shot. Now, it is not sure whether the makers of the film will erect the sets again or change the location of the shoots. 'Rajanna' is based on the life of a freedom fighter who fought valiantly against the oppressive upper class during the Nizam regime and lay down his life. Nagarjuna informed us that the script of 'Rajanna' has stuck to the pages of history to impart originality. The movie is going to have dialogues in Telengana Dialect as reinforcement to the pre-independence backdrop. Nagarjuna and Anushka have teamed up again for this magnum opus. Sensational director Rajamouli has shot few fight sequences and songs for the film. Rajanna is directed by Rajamouli's father Vijayendra Prasad.

The word ‘tarred’ is used colloquially to imply a black mark on a person’s character or integrity. However, even that word has no effect when it comes to Nagarjuna. Akhil Dominates Naga Chaitanya?

Sibling rivalries are common in any family but it tends to be a degree higher in cine families. Right now, something like that is being anticipated in home of Nagarjuna. Well, the talk is about the film debut of Akkineni Akhil and the impact it will have on his brother Naga Chaitanya and his career.

A senior cine analyst reveals “When Akhil will enter the industry, the chances are high that he will overtake Chaitu. So, Chaitu should take Junior NTR as inspiration. We have seen how junior has dominated with his acting and got past all his cousins to make a brand for himself. If he was weak this would not have been possible.”

Another director said “Akhil has acting genes both from father and mother. That way, his speed to fame and growth will be high which will dominate Chaitu. So, it is imperative that Chaitu also makes a mark for himself otherwise he won’t be able to handle the competition from Akhil.” Hope Chaitu is already working on that.

Parties and get-togethers are a common feature of cine circuit and if that happens from a superstar’s end then the impact is more. However, this time a different get-together happened and that too for a patriotic cause. All this happened at the property owned by Nagarjuna.

Well, we are talking about the grand event that took place at the N-Convention center on the eve of India- Pakistan semifinal match for the world cup. This was hosted by Kalamandir Kalyan, a flamboyant organizer of events and film screenings in Hyderabad and this event was sponsored by Mandir, the new saree house.

The highlight of this event was the vibrant presence of Tollywood with the likes of Samantha, Anushka, Shriya, Shraddha Das adding to the glamour while Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Sumanth, Daggubati Rana, Samrat Reddy, Varun Sandesh, director Vamsi Padipally and others were present. All of them let their hair loose as they cheered up for Team India and their joy knew no bounds with India’s win. As for the other guests, it was thorough entertainment for them onscreen and also off-screen.

Nag's Rs 40 crore gift to Anushka!

Income Tax Raids on Anushka's house in Jubilee Hills residence have necessarily scrutinized the legal documents pertaining to crores of worth real estate properties. As results of this raid are not out in media but there are enough gossips prevailing in film circles, which are pleasing to hear but worrisome to know how Anushka managed to buy these highly valued properties. IT officials are known to have questioned Anushka to give them a clear justification on how she was able to buy a mansion in Hyderabad and acres of land in Visakhapatnam which totally worth nearly Rs 40 crores. Now, Sweety has to come out with a clean Income chit to save all these. Nevertheless the wild rumor is that Nagarjuna and Anushka are joint owners of these and are assumed to be in the form of gift from handsome Nag to voluptuous Anushka.

I-T dept punches holes in Nag's claims

Hyderabad: Major discrepancies were noticed in the income tax returns submitted by cine star Nagarjuna by IT sleuths on Thursday, a day after the department raided his premises and those of other Tollywood bigwigs — Ravi Teja and Anushka.

According to sources in the department, several land purchases and real estate development activities which were taken up by the Akkineni family in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Bangalore and Chennai were not included in the tax returns submitted for the years 2008, 2009 and 2010.

“The advance returns filed for this year also did not account for Nagarjuna’s recent purchases in Vizag. Also, the accounts with regard to his recent investments in N-Convention Centre and N-Grill restaurant in 6 acres of land opposite Hi-Tec City, said to be worth more than Rs 500 crore, are not clear,” the IT sources said.

The IT officials are also probing the construction of a cine complex in Visakhapatnam by Ravi Teja for which the actor bought land six months ago.

The sleuths are also said to be probing the purchase of a piece of land near Shamshabad in Hyderabad and in Visakhapatnam by Ravi Teja along with fellow star Anushka and a few others.

With regard to Anushka, the IT officials claimed they had not been able to detect any glaring omissions or discrepencies except the single investment in Vizag which is said to be worth over Rs 6 crore. “During the searches at her Jubilee hills guest house, we did not find any gold or expensive jewellery,” the sources said.

However, IT officials on Thursday slapped notices on the three stars asking them to explain the discrepancies in the tax payments. Notices were also sent to D Shiva Prasad Reddy of Kamakshi Movies and Nagarjuna’s brother Venkat.

If the stars refuse to accept that they have not withheld any income, then as per IT rules, a penalty up to 90 per cent of the value found in the raids can be imposed. However, if the stars admit a mistake, the penalty can be reduced to 30 per cent of the value, according to the IT sources.

A final report on the actors’ tax evasion and concelement will be known only by Friday as the officials are busy calculating the value of the land and tax it would attract along with the penalty, the sources added.

'Friendship' With Nag Puts Her In Trouble!!!

It is known news that recently some of the noted stars in the Tollywood circuit were visited the IT officials as a raid. Buzz is that the targets are those who benefited a lot during the regime of the late YSR. As a result, the name of Nagarjuna came first. But in the bargain, the one who got a raw deal seems to be Anushka.

Sources say that the pretty girl didn’t rake in any benefits during that time but the reason for her becoming the target is her ‘Close’ friendship with Nag. Apparently, the IT authorities feel Anushka may be having a share of Nag’s financial transactions.

While this has been deemed as unfair by many, there are those who are wondering how lucky Tabu must be feeling. Incidentally, there was a strong buzz that Tabu recently ended her ‘friendship’ with Nag. If it was still ‘on’ then she would have been another target for the IT folks. As it is, her house is right next to Nag’s residence.

Nagarjuna's Land Grabbing Case

While it is a common feature to hear about Nagarjuna and his link up with hot women of cine circuit, there is also another subject he is famous for – real estate and properties. Apparently, Nag is quite active in land and property deals and this time, it appears that he may have been accomplice to a grabbing case.

Inside sources reveal that Nag has got partnership with a construction company which is based at Manikonda. Recently, this company set its eye on a road which has high tension wires. Reports say that they have captured the road and began construction of road without hesitating about anything.

Now, the road belongs to the APSEB department and having realized the crime being committed, they put a land grabbing case in court. Latest update is that the court has taken this matter seriously and the construction is stopped. Let us see what happens now…

IT raids on Nagarjuna, Anushka, Ravi Teja!!

The Income Tax officials have raided the residences of Tollywood stars Nagarjuna, Ravi Teja and Anushka, as per sources.

Sources say that the IT department has noticed a huge transaction of funds happening to buy a property in Vizag. Also, some discrepancies were noticed in the bank accounts by the IT department, as per reports.
