Satya Sai condition worsens

Bhagwan Satya Sai Baba of Puttaparthy is critically ill. Doctors attending on the Baba at Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences at Puttaparthi said his health condition turned alarming by Monday evening.
According to the medical bulletin issued by Dr A N Safaya, director of Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences at Puttaparthi in the evening, Baba’s vital systems are not adequately responding to the treatment. The condition of Baba is critical.
Though the bulletin issued earlier in the day said he was showing signs of improvement, the situation worsened since afternoon, the doctors attending on him said.  “Bhagwan Satya Saibaba continues to be on ventilator support for helping his respiration and suction of the secretions from the lungs. He continues to be on Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) system to help the functioning of the kidneys,” Dr Safaya said in the bulletin. He said the panel of doctors treating him was doing their best to make the system to respond.
The 85-year old Baba was admitted to the hospital following lung and chest congestion on March 28.
