Is 'Gundamma Katha' Worthy To Remake?

One of the unforgettable masterpieces of the black and white era in Tollywood is ‘Gundamma Katha’. Now, it is targeted by the movie makers and is likely to be rehashed into a remake. This has raised few eyebrows of skepticism as few analysts are wondering how viable the project will be.

According to reports, Vanisri will be doing the role of Suryakantam, Naga Chaitanya as ANR, Jr NTR as NTR, Prakashraj as SVR. Buzz is that the actors for reprising the roles of Savitri and Jamuna are yet to be finalized. The captain of the remake ship would be Kodi Ramakrishna as he will be the director. Given the details so far, the big question remains- will it work?

Some are asking “Will Kodi change the script for contemporary audiences? As such, Kodi is an outdated director and cant tune to the young minds of today. His ‘Arundhati’ worked due to graphics. So, can he make it happen with the remake? Can he work with the casting?” For now, the questions are many but news is that the project is confirmed
